Bought these for my son's first week of kindergarten and the pull tab on the back has been a lifesaver for him getting them on by himself. The rubber soles are holding up great through all the playground abuse too.

The leather lining feels softer than I expected and my son says they're comfy right out of the box. Only gripe is the laces run a bit long, but the pull tab makes getting them on so much easier.
